Stephan Stadtfeld, Trumpet

As a four year old, Stephan was dead-set on playing, in his words, a 'shiny trumpet'. Although he had to wait until he was big enough, the boyhood dream became reality, and success in the competition Jugend Musiziert quickly followed. He has since played with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and WorldBrass, and spent two years at the Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, said by many to be the best orchestra in the world. After that he was snapped up by the Konzerthaus Orchestra, a job he's had since 2008. Since then, he's been dead-set on starting something else too - Das Blech.
